Screwdriver / Chave de Fenda / Schroevendraaier / Tournevis / Schraubendreher
(PT) Chave de fenda
(NL) Schroevendraaier
(FR) tournevis
(DE) Schraubendreher
Here are the 2 most common screwdrivers:
Slotted, flat or straight (Flathead Screwdriver)
Chave de fenda simples
Gleufkop (Schroevendraaier - werkplaats schroevendraaier)
Pointe Plate (tournevis à tête plate)
Schlitz (Schlitzschraubendreher)
Phillips or crosshead screwdriver
Phillips ou Estrela (Chave de fenda cruzada - chave Phillips)
Kruiskop (Kruiskopschroevendraaier)
pointe cruciforme (Tournevis à pointe cruciforme)
Phillips-Kreuzschlitz (Kreuzschlitzschraubendreher)
This is possibly the second most common type of screw, with an x-shaped head that matches the X on the head of the screw. Invented by Henry Phillips and patented in the 1930s.
Another similar screwdriver/screw set is the Posidrive™, which looks like a Phillips but with a small square area in the center of the tip. The Phillips screwdriver should not be used with a Pozidrive screw, and the Pozidrive screwdriver should definitely not be used with a Phillips head screw!
Torx Screwdriver
Chave de fenda ponta torx
Torx Schroevendraaier
Tournevis torx
Torx-Schraubendreher
